Assessment of the economic efficiency of the investment project
Bílková, Alice ; Musilová, Tereza (referee) ; Vaňková, Lucie (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to assess the economic efficiency of the investment project. The theoretical part focuses on the basic definitions related to investment decisions on the investment project and the project life cycle, cash flows and their predictions and recommendations to set them correctly, methods useful for assessing the effectiveness of the investment project and the indicators presenting the financial stability and feasibility of the project as well as factors affecting the overall investment decision, and finally the possibility of financing of the investment projects in the private sector. In the practical part there are the theoretical findings applied in the real investment project. Specifically, there will be analyzed the characterized investment project and its possible alternatives and finally made the assessment of economic efficiency.
Beat tracking systems for music recordings
Staňková, Karolína ; Miklánek, Štěpán (referee) ; Ištvánek, Matěj (advisor)
This master thesis deals with systems for detecting rhythmic structures of music recordings. The field of Music Information Retrieval (MIR) allows us to examine the harmonic and tonal properties of music, rhythm, tempo, etc., and has uses in academic and commercial sphere. Various algorithms are used in the detection of rhythmic structures. However, today, most new methods use neural networks. This work aims to summarize the current research results of systems for detecting beats and tempo, to describe methods of calculating and evaluating the parameters of music recordings, and to implement a program that allows comparison of available detection systems. The result of the work is a script in the Python language, which uses six different systems to detect the rhythmic structure of test recordings. It then checks the outputs of the algorithms according to the given reference and compares the given systems with each other using several evaluation values. It uses two datasets as a reference—one of them is publicly available and the other was created by the author of this thesis (including annotations, i.e., reference beat times, for the sample recordings). The program allows user to see the results in graphs and play any of the sample recordings with detected beat times.
Hydromorphological monitoring of small water course and its evaultaion
Beneš, Jakub ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (referee) ; Hyánková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with the hydroecological monitoring watercourses. The HEM – Hydroecological monitoring is part of the assessment of the status of watercourses, whitch is a requirement of the European Water Framework Directive. The content of this thesis is to evaluate a small stream throught two chosen methods (HEM and Bavarian method). The methods is compare with each other and with the state of the stream in 2008. The aim of the study is to compare the suitability of methods and their application.
The Evaluation of pedagogical staff
Sobotová, Věra ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor) ; Svobodová, Zuzana (referee)
The topic of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of teaching staff. The aim of the thesis is to describe the evaluation tools used for evaluation of teaching staff in private primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic and to propose an optimisation of the evaluation system based on the results. The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the issue of teacher evaluation and presents a summary of methods of teacher evaluation that can be used to improve the quality of education. In the theoretical part, concepts such as forms, criteria, functions, process and methods of evaluation are introduced. The specific aspects of teacher evaluation and the importance of communication of evaluation results to staff, mistakes of evaluators and evaluated, as well as evaluation principles, new trends in this field and possible uses of evaluation results are described. The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey among principals of private primary and secondary schools. The results show that lesson observations and self-evaluation are the most commonly used tools for teacher evaluation. Most principals evaluate teachers at least once a year and use teachers' work motivation and skills as evaluation criteria. The research also showed that only half of the respondents are...
Systém hodnocení pracovníků ve vybrané organizaci
LINHARTOVÁ, Andrea
The name of this thesis is " System of Employees Evaluation in the Chosen Company". The main aim of the work is to evaluate how the staff evaluation system works of the organization, namely Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the basic terms e.g. Human Resource Management, work performance, employee ratings and it provides essential information concerning employee evaluation system. The practical part of the thesis involves basic description of the selected organization. The following parts are dedicated to employee evaluation system in the chosen organization. Based on the results of the practical part, the deficiencies are identified and the measures proposed to remedy those shortcomings. The aforemetioned data were obtained from publicly available sources which was supplemented by information obtained from the organization surveyed. The information needed for the partial goal of the thesis was identified through a questionnaire.
Identification and evaluation of websites of harm reduction interventions targeting illicit drug users in the Czech Republic
Habarta, Jiří ; Gabrhelík, Roman (advisor) ; Matoušek, Petr (referee)
The thesis describes the course and results of the research into the field of Harm Reduction (HR) through the internet websites in the Czech language. Nowadays the internet forms an inseparable part of most people's lives from all social classes. This fact is reflected in the interests of both service providers for drug users and laymen interested in drug issues. Unfortunately, according to current research we do not know much about what information and in which quality and range can people find about drug Harm reduction on the internet. Therefore, the aim of this thesis was to identify and evaluate internet websites in the field of harm reduction intervention focused on the users of illegal drugs in the Czech Republic. Internet websites were evaluated not only with respect to the contents and range of the information provided but also with respect to topicality, functionality and objectivity. What was found were 13 Czech complex websites, 7 professional HR organisations and also 6 non-professional HR websites. The websites of professional organisations in most cases fulfilled the essential criteria of authority, objectivity and topicality. Among non-professional websites there were high-quality ones containing a wide range of information and correct approach to drug issues but there were also two...
Assessment centre - validity, possibility and risks in the usage the company's procedure method
Doubková, Dagmar ; Bahbouh, Radvan (referee) ; Kirovová, Iva (referee)
My rigorous thesis is focused on the issue of Assessment Centre method (AC), its validity, contribution and objectivity, ethical rules and difficulties. The selection of competences studied by this method is discussed here as well. Strong and weak sides of the method are described by the SWOT analysis and possible opportunities and threats are pointed out in the work. The structure and the implementation of the AC method as well as its opportunities and real use in practice are described in the theoretical part of the work. This part of the work is also focused on the particular methods used within the AC methods. The differences between the Assessment Centres and Development Centres are brought up here. The AC method is compared with the other procedures which are used for the selection and development of employees. Opportunities and limitations of the validity of the measurement are discussed in this part of the work. The practical part of the work is devoted to the comparison of the AC method with other methods of selection and evaluation concerning the contribution and objectivity. The data analyzed in this comparison have been collected from the interviews with 27 HR managers and specialists. Four files describing the AC method from the point of view of the weak and strong sides are based on...
Comparison And Evaluation System For Beat Tracking Algorithms
Staňková, Karolína
This work deals with systems for detecting rhythmic structures of music recordings. Thefield of retrieving information from music (MIR) is developing rapidly and has more accurate resultsthan ever before. It allows us to examine the harmonic and tonal properties of music, rhythm, tempo, etc. Various algorithms are used in the detection of rhythmic structures. However, today, most newmethods use neural networks. The thesis aims to summarize the current research results of systemsfor detecting music times and tempo in MIR, to describe methods of calculating and evaluating theparameters of music recordings, and to implement a program that allows comparison of availabledetection systems. The result of the work is a script in the Python language, which uses five differentsystems to detect the rhythmic structure of test recordings. It then checks the outputs of the algorithmsaccording to the given reference and compares the given systems with each other using severalevaluation quantities.
